Is everyone aware of just how many products still in wide use today were introduced at the Chicago World’s Fair? Please see my list below for just a taste of it.
- George Westinghouse introduced the world to electric power by lighting the Fair.
- George Ferris introduced the Ferris Wheel.
- Eadweard Muybridge introduced the zoopraxiscope, we know this as moving pictures.
- Quaker Oats
- The Zipper
- Juicy Fruit Gum
- Cracker Jacks
- Spray Paint
- Cream of Wheat
- The Hamburger
- Milton Hershey purchased the rights to the process for making chocolate.
